We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
Always have a backup plan. It’s hard for me to agree with that statement because If I focus on why I put all my eggs in one basket I can accomplish my goals for my main plan

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel what sets me apart from others is the unconditional love I show no matter how I am treated. God blessed me with a heart of Gold and it sometimes can be a blessing and a curse but I am able to manage. The love I have for music is and art in general is smothering. I love music and art like a mother loves their child. Music is my baby. It was a fun but challenging start, I remember starting off in my room recording myself and learning the ropes and I’m so grateful for the ones I met along the way to get me to where I am today. I just want the world to know my story and join me on my journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Right here in The Tre (Third Ward) Houston, Tx. It’s so rich in culture and there are plenty of small food joints and trucks to enjoy. Everybody family and all about unity. You will meet people with knowledge, talent, and power! Very beautiful community. It’s the heart of Houston.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
