Meet Cary Jackson | Dental Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cary Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cary, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Growing up I always had an entrepreneurial spirit as young as 12 during AAU basketball games I would I think to myself it would be nice to own a facility like this. I always had a dream of being a dentist and working in the dental field, But along the way I realized that school was not best for me I thought that it would limit me and the opportunities that I could get to just by taking a different route. At 19 years old I received my dental assisting license. At that moment I knew that I needed to find something to bring additional income. My first thought was hey I’m already in the dental field let me start whitening teeth and create my own products create my own shirts and grow a brand from the ground up. Putting beautiful white smiles on peoples faces and not over pricing over and charging them for the same services they would get in a dental office.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I got to where I am today because I truly manifested everything consciously and unconsciously. Being a black male in the dental field is truly a blessing and an honor. At only 19 years old I got license to become a dental assistant. Working in pediatric dentistry for me is perfect because I’m closer to the kids ages so I can relate they trust me they listen to me i can understand them better then older assistants there calm during treatments etc. Along the way I’ve learned how important it is for kids to See others that look like them in the medical field or the healthcare industry so they’re not as scared and it’s not just like a stranger or just random person working on them they actually feel comfortable because this person looks like me and also around the same age it just shows me how important it is for our kids to just see people like them working on them and for them.Along my journey I would like the world to know that me Cary as a dental assistant every kid that came in that saw me I positively impacted there life and you’re gonna remember my energy and they gonna remember me every time if they go to the Dentist or when they grow up they’re going to remember that hey he was really nice to me he made me laugh every time I went to the Dentist and I just want you know I just want parents to know that hey he really cares for the kids and he’s going to be there for them in the long-term outlook to give back to the kids in a community take them on field trips do different things like that so working in pediatric dinner was perfect for me because I always want to give back to kids.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
in my opinion on the weekend to go have a nice time I’ll probably go to a nice restaurant like the lost and found or Seaside lounge have a nice life just kick back and relax and have fun

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course the first person that I would like to shout out is my mother because growing up in a single-parent home she truly gave me the love the the courage the knowledge and the confidence to literally do whatever I put my mind to. But along the way as a seek to learn different things I also have to shout out different books such as ‘Rich dad poor dad’ ‘the energy bus’ and ‘the secret’. When I started reading these books it tapped into a certain part of my brain where it caused me to think differently which also motivating me to live differently and take advantage of opportunities and not only take advantage but chase opportunity and go get opportunities instead of waiting for them to come. The books also helped me build the confidence to attract anything that I want and how to do so.
