We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie B and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cassie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Cassie’s Cure started off as a personal wellness blog for me. I was going through a lot back in 2014-2015 and I needed a space to release my thoughts and emotions. I was going to therapy at the time and we were talking about learning to love myself better and certain childhood experiences that possibly played a huge role in the things I was experiencing at that time. Eventually, I started sharing my blogs and people would reach out telling me how much they could relate. I was pretty shocked. And then one day my friend was like “Cassie you should literally turn this into a self-care business”. You’re always sharing your story, offering advice, and helping people heal and feel better about themselves. So one day that’s what I did. I sat down and thought about what I’d want this to look like and that’s when I decided, wellness retreats, self-care workshops, and self-love coaching would be key things I offered. I wanted to create a safe space for folks to be vulnerable, open, and safe. I wanted to create a community that cares. And that’s exactly what I did!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I am not too sure. A spot that I really loved in Houston is Krab Queenz. Since I myself and most of my friends are California natives. I would take them to the beautiful art museums, possibly the zoo, Krab Queenz or Pluckers for some great seafood & wings! I would also take them to discovery green! They always have cool events going on and the scenery is so beautiful!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the many women out there that are trying their best on this journey we call life. Who are trying to make strides on their self-care journey! To the women who are learning to love themselves better and choose themselves first. To the women who are learning how to believe in themselves. To the women who are finding their voice unapologetically! I also want to give a huge shoutout to the most painful experiences I’ve had in this life. I’ve learned so much from them. Without them, I probably would not have started this Self-Care & Wellness Business.
