We had the good fortune of connecting with Cayla Fears and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cayla, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Its really unbelievable what my business has and still is becoming. I never had the goal of starting a business until it just happened! I was in my dorm room senior in college in 2017 and I was at a very low point. I was extremely overweight and just unhappy overall. When the semester came to an end I decided to move back home and I began to get my relationship with God right and I also got really into my health and fitness. I fell in love with not only the process but also myself again. I knew it was time to share my love and all I had learned from this self love, fitness and health journey. I remember taking a nap one day and God giving me the name “Becoming Fearless” I woke up with so much clarity on where and what he wanted to do with the business. All I knew was I wanted to be able to share what God had done in my life Physically, Mentally and Spiritually, and that’s How “Becoming Fearless” was born.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My Business Becoming Fearless is a community created by myself, that is full of Boss Babes working to become the best version of ourselves in all aspects of life. I’m also a content creator on social media where I use my platform to motivate all women to be the best version of themselves rather its Fitness, Health, Self Love,Worth and even seeking God who has a purpose and plan for us all. I took the leap! I am no where near where God wants me to be but I am where he needs me to be. Ive learned that in every step of the process to bring my business to life I had to jump and take the leap of faith. There is a reason why the 1% is who they are, and its because they believed in themselves enough to do what everyone else may have been scared to. It hasn’t been the easiest. I am human and I have days where I may doubt and feel like I want to give up, but what keeps me going is knowing that God himself put this in me so I cant fail. Keeping that in my mind allows me to break through every obstacle that may comes towards me. Being authentic in myself has been one of the greatest lesson and form of self care that I have come across. We were all beautifully and individually created if we would just lean into what gifts God has already given us we would make things so much easier for ourselves and business. I want the world to know that “Becoming Fearless” is here to be your motivation and support to becoming the best version of yourself that God has called you to be!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The city is opening back up and I have family that comes into town from up north and ask me this all the time because I love to eat and get drinks and just enjoy this beautiful city! My favorite food spots out here that are a must try and I know they can’t get it back at home would be “The Turkey Leg Hut” for sure, if we are wanting fun chill vibes. I also love Bloom & Bee at the Post Oak Hotel. It’s more of an upscale dining experience but well worth it and the scenery is to die for if you love taking pictures. As far as hanging out Bike riding and 3 wheel driving down town is always a fun adventure. You’re able to see down town and the art murals along with pit stop at bars that will make any evening a fun adventure.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be here without my God fearing mother. Whenever I’ve needed help or direction she has always been there for me she gives me ideas, helps me work on things, package product,! She is literally the Boss Mom who does everything! She places me before anything and I truly appreciate every bit of time and sweat she’s put into making my business come life.
