We had the good fortune of connecting with Chane’ Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chane’, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Health and wellness has always been at the heart of my journey, starting with my career as a licensed massage therapist and evolving into guiding individuals on their fitness journeys. Despite my deep commitment to health and wellness, I found myself really drawn to content creation and helping small businesses here in Houston navigate social media without feeling overwhelmed. We all know how tricky social media can be—it’s a mix of good and bad. I believe creating content should be fun, not stressful, and shouldn’t take a toll on your mental health. The Social Jo Club is all about empowering business owners to find their unique voice and build strong, supportive communities.

Through The Social Jo Club, I offer one-on-one coaching, content planning, content creating and social media management. My goal is to transform the daunting task of online presence into a rewarding experience. I emphasize authenticity, helping business owners connect with their audience in meaningful way.

In addition to these practical tools and tips, I started The Social Jo Bookclub to encourage a break from screen time and foster new relationship with women from their early 20’s to late 30’s that are in their “soft girl” era.

I say all of this to say, when I decided to start my own business, my main goal was simply to make one person feel a little less alone in this chaotic world—whether that’s through helping them with their business or joining a cozy book club and it’s not going to stop there!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Growing up, both of my parents embraced the entrepreneurial spirit — they just can’t seem to retire! Every time they try, they dive into a new project. It’s something I really admired growing up because I could never see myself being content with a typical 9-5 job. In my early 20s, I was known for juggling multiple gigs, and oddly enough, I loved it! I learned so much—like finishing up a massage therapy shift and then stepping onto a movie set, or selling supplements, or diving into marketing for a meal prep company, and so much more! From the outside, people might think, ‘Wow, she really needs to settle down,’ but I like to think of it as market research! Because honestly, without any of those jobs—side gigs, whatever you want to call them—I wouldn’t be who I am today, and I wouldn’t have learned half the lessons I have. Each job taught me how to create a safe space for people to be themselves, what it’s like to be in front of a camera, or how to really connect with your audience. Sure I could’ve learned some of these lessons from a textbook but having real life experiences to back it up allows me to really connect with my clients and make them feel heard.

When you’re working with The Social Jo Club, you’re working with a business that puts heart and soul into the digital space, that prioritizes mental well-being, and utilizes compassion and creativity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One thing to know about me is I am a coffee lover so that’s the first thing to do! Some of my favorite coffee shops in Houston is Wild, Slowpokes, Eden Plant Co, and BHBG Coffee. Go grab some coffee and go check out what’s new at Murder by the Book, Brazo’s or Blue Willow bookstore, go antique/thrift shopping in Montrose, checkout POSTHTX to try a few different dishes and watch the sunset, explore an immersive museum like ARTECHOUSE, watch a movie at Rooftop Cinema, buy tickets for the latest candlelight concert, getting Korean BBQ at Honey Pig, or experience a sound bath in the Buffalo Bayou Cistern.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course, I owe much of my journey to the love and support of my amazing friends and family. However, I have to give credit to my yoga teacher, life coach, and friend @lovingnandinature who has truly been a game-changer for me. I began working with her in 2021, and she has taught me invaluable lessons about building self-trust and following my intuition. This really gave me the courage to dream big without letting fear hold me back!
