We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlie Garabedian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charlie, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
As the singer and one of the founders of the band, I was the only musician in a family of athletes so it was a little tricky getting started. I always knew I wanted to be in a band since before I could even talk. When the Emo scene hit in the mid-2000’s, with bands like Taking Back Sunday, Escape The Fate and The Used, I was instantly hooked and knew I had to be a part of it.

As far as our guitar player,David, his influences and roots were quite different. He got his influences and inspiration to play guitar from his best friend in Michigan, Tim. He wanted to start a band and he got himself a bass guitar. So David bought himself a guitar. And they started a metal band getting their influences from bands like Korn, pantera, and Limp Bizkit. And the rest is history.

Our bass player, Matt, originally started playing music on trombone, but then decided to teach himself bass guitar. He has been playing bass for about 10 years now. Matt’s musical influences are all over the place, however he got the roots of his musical taste from listening to the radio with him mom when he was a child. But, his fav bands/acts that influenced him the most were Black Sabbath, The Ramones, The Beastie Boys, Motörhead, and the Grateful Dead.

Our drummer, Gerardo (Jerry), he found his love with drumming since he was a kid listening to Nu-Metal with bands like Static-x, Deftones, and Korn. Over time he started to listen to heavier bands like Brujeria, Hatebreed, and Terror more inclined towards hardcore and death metal. He started to play the drums at the age of 13. He took a break when he left his country at the age of 17. At the age of 19 he started to play with local tribute bands of Houston and they covered bands such as, Deftones, Limp Bizkit White Zombie and Linkin Park. He is also currently in a cover band, when I found him through social media and connected.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are a band a band of many influences. However, we feel what sets us apart, is our chemistry and bond that we have together. It’s more of a brotherhood than a band. We all love to have a good time, and work hard to achieve our musical goals while we do it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A couple places we can think of, are Scout Bar. Which is an amazing venue for socializing and seeing great bands that have all different levels of success.

The Galveston sea wall, is a great place to go for a chill relaxing vibe.

The downtown Houston Art district is a great place to go as well.

And US Golf and Games, a great arcade.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Rowdy because I believe they deserve the recognition, due to their memorable performances and likability within the band.
