We had the good fortune of connecting with Chasidy Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chasidy, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I firmly believe each person was created to use their abilities to bless others, no matter the industry. Photography came to me at a time when I needed it the very most, almost as if I was created to do this. Even though I had no idea what I was heading into…it fit me, my personality, my strengths and over time it has just organically become who I am and its how I use my abilities to bless others.August 10, 2007 was the day that my father left this world. I don’t know how so much time has passed since. I miss him and because of this I realized we have very few family photos to look back on an even less of my father, unless it was an 8 second clip of him riding a bull in the rodeo. It truly depressed me years after his death that I had nothing to hold onto and remember the man he was, only by memory. To me that is not enough. So I choose to gift families with memories frozen in time that will last them forever. To me photography is not a job it is my gift of giving back to those who one day can look back and relive the memories of those we have lost. This is when and how Chasidy Shae Photography came about.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Where I’m at today was no easy task. I am a self taught photographer. Everything about my business I created from the ground up by myself, I’ve taught myself everything I use or do within my business.

I have had many health struggles along the way but have overcome them all while juggling a full time photography business.

I’ve learned many lessons through it all but would be here all day if I told you about them.

I want the world to know that no matter what you set your mind to and are passionate about nothing will keep you from reaching your dreams & goals!

I want people to remember my work by my story and why I began photography as a business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Owning a small business In Washington County has really opened up my heart and soul to supporting other local businesses.

I’d start by visiting our Downtown of BRENHAM. First stop, coffee at Mascalito coffee shop, then off to Shop downtown BRENHAM.
-Hermanns furniture
-Wild Ones boutique
-The Canyon Chick
-The Prancy Pony
-Jet Set Chocolates
-Puppy Dawgs & Cat Tails and more.

Then Lunch at one of my favorite Sandwich shops in the heart of downtown, Must Be Heaven, followed by Bluebell Ice Cream @ the Blue Bell Creamery.

We’d end the afternoon and evenings by visiting Texas Star Winery located in Chappell Hill, Tx followed by dinner at The Grapevine also located in Chappell Hill.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, he was all in, no questions asked when I first began thinking about making photography a business. He has supported my business struggles, crazy schedule & wild ideas. As well as helping me move into and out of two studios I have had. He claims my current studio will be the last move for me! 🤣
