We had the good fortune of connecting with Chlo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chlo, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I do not believe in giving up. I think that if you really believe in something you can never give up on it. Yes, there will be times when you realize that something is not your passion so you move on, but I do not believe that is giving up. Giving up is when you know that you love something and you have faith in your ability to achieve it and you quit trying. That is giving up; that is not acceptable. The reason I feel like this is because I have experienced struggle due to giving up and I have experienced success due to perseverance. What I learned from both experiences is that faith and consistency as a team are way stronger than any obstacle you will ever face. I can visualize the things that I want and the goals I want to achieve so the only option I have is to keep going. I persevere for my son and future children, my family, and my friends. I want to see everyone happy and successful and if I can be the one to put others in a position, I could not be happier. Never give up on your dreams because the next step you take could be there one to take you where you aspire to be.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make music. I make great music. What makes it great is that it is made by me and it embodies who I am. The music is versatile but indistinguishably me. It is fun but thoroughly created. It is trendy but classic. My music is inspired by a lot of the greats so it will give many people that feeling of nostalgia while incorporating my special style and unique feel. It has not been easy. There have been rollercoasters of events and emotions. In the music industry it is very easy to get discouraged when certain people put you down, but the number one thing to remember is, with art, everyone will not love your work but they will respect you if you continue creating it. I want everyone to know that being yourself and believing in yourself are the best things to do. Know that you are the IT GIRL (or guy). Make it to where everyone has to believe in you because you believe in yourself so much.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my friends, family, and supporters. My friends always come through when I need support, whether that is shooting a music video, learning my songs, or coming to release parties. My family is very supportive of my endeavors. They have never made it seem like I am doing something unreasonable or that I should have more “realistic” dreams. Also, my family listens to my music even when it’s not necessarily their style of music (lol). Last but not least, my supporters are people that do not know me personally but support every release, every post and every event. I am so appreciative of that.
