We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Some of the most important factors that play a major part in Protect The Vibe growth and success is being in tune with the culture, embracing individuality, and showcasing creativity consistently. As for myself being the founder and creator i would say having a crazy amount of belief drives my success itself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Protect The Vibe is a culture of art, music, community and also a Record Label. What separates PTVM from any other label is that its a world and culture itself. Not just music. The goal is to inspire, be creative and have fun. All of us who are affiliated promotes elevation in humanity, music and purpose. What i am most proud about is how many people support and care for anything PTVM has going on. There was a time where only a few people knew it exist but with networking, marketing and developing new relationships created a extended family of fans. What i want people to know or understand most importantly about me or PTVM is that all of our motives are genuine and built off of good vibes and relationships.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Its so much to do in Houston i would show them a little bit of everything. I would start with food places like LA crawfish, Crawfish Cafe, Torchy’s Tacos, etc. I love coffee so i would bring them to some of the coolest coffee spots like The Wild bar, Agora, or The Coffee House. Also parks such as Buffalo Bayou or Memorial Park to get a good walk, bike ride, and get some fresh air. Maybe check out some art at Houston Museum Fine Arts. Night life i probably would take them to any bar on Washington Ave and get something to eat from the food trucks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say one of my best friends and also family members should get the credit because in the early stages i would speak about my goals and ideas for PTVM and they would give me confidence to see it through. Bits and pieces of what it is today lived in my head for years before i spoke about it and getting the cheers from my love ones made me feel that there was no limit to what i could do.
