Meet Chris Williams | Clothing designer & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In high school & college I was into shoes heavy so I always wanted something cool to wear with them. One day the idea came to mind to just create my own brand to wear. I ran a few clothing names by some ppl and “Undefined Society” stood out. Now I have a name. Then I came across this site called “Custom Ink” and I designed my first two shirts and hand them printed and shipped to me. A few ppl liked and ordered the shirts. That lasted for a year in a half. I was always thinking about having nice things and wanting a better life and boom that’s when I can up with the new name “Lavish Mindz Apparel.”
What should our readers know about your business?
The first thing that set us apart is, that we are a luxurious streetwear brand, with the motivation to think outside the box. We pride ourselves on giving our customer nice work & products for a reasonable price. I am most proud of the feed back that I get from the customers and seeing the brand grow everyday. I got to where I am today business-wise because I never gave up and i kept evolving with time. Running a business has its challenges, you just have to push through. It’s all about the goal and end result. One lesson I learned along the way is that some will support and some won’t support until it’s cool to support. Lavish Mindz just started from an idea & continues to grow bigger.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Even though I am a Ravens fan we can still hit a Houston Texans game or a Rockets game. Its so many food places to choose from but I’ll take them to turkey leg hut, bar 22 for lamb chops, hit a nice brunch spot. Then vibe out at a hookah lounge later that night.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout goes to my mother (Deidre) & brother (Brandon S.) for always supporting everything I do. Next I want to shoutout Brandon “1800 Slim” for showing me how to make shirts on his machine and saving me from paying people to do my shirts. I want to thank all the event planners, pop up shops and fashion shows for giving me the opportunity to network and showcase my brand to their audience in their cities. Finally I want to thank all the supporters, brand ambassador, models and everybody that buy and promote the Lavish Mindz brand, Thank You!
