Hi Chrisanthia, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Thank you for having me here today; it’s a pleasure to be here.

In approaching risk, I firmly believe in the mantra, “no risk, no reward.”

Growing up in Jamaica within a large family with a police officer mother and a successful businessman father, I witnessed firsthand the risks my parents took to achieve their goals and provide for our family.

Resilience is paramount; one must pursue goals not only for oneself but also for family.

As a mother, my children inspire me to take risks, pushing me beyond my comfort zones for their future. When I launched 9x Creative Studio (formerly Unique Images by Chrissie), uncertainty loomed as I juggled a 9-5 job as a social media manager and photographer.

Motivated by my son’s fifth birthday, I yearned for more. I wanted to be present for each milestone and nurture him while growing alongside him. Balancing freelance graphic work during late hours, persistently showcasing my creations online, and taking risks have borne fruit. Now, as a mother of two boys, I work from home, spending quality time with them, nurturing our bond while providing for their future.

One doesn’t have to succumb to circumstances or fear the unknown; resilience and risk-taking are pivotal in achieving dreams.

Inspired by my driven father, who stops at nothing to realize his ambitions, I’ve learned that taking risks is intrinsic to success. I vividly recall the morning he woke up and declared his desire to own a shopping plaza. Initially skeptical, I witnessed his relentless dedication, hard work, networking, acquiring land, and building that plaza from the ground up. With such a driven father figure, I’ve learned that risks are essential for success, and with dedication, anything is achievable. Above all, placing faith first is paramount.

Prayer, work, guidance, and risk intertwine. Before embarking on any endeavor that entails risk or stepping out of my comfort zone, I remind myself of the words, “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.” I seek divine guidance to lead, direct, and guide me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the founder and Creative of 9x Creative Studio, specializing in branding, website design, and digital marketing. I thrive on taking risks to achieve creative excellence.

What sets me apart is the fusion of resilience and risk-taking ingrained in my Jamaican roots.

The journey to my current professional standing wasn’t easy. Fueled by the desire for a better future for my family, I founded 9x Creative Studio. Challenges were plentiful, but resilience became my guiding principle. Late nights were dedicated to crafting unique designs and showcasing them online to broaden my reach. Lessons learned include the power of tenacity, the importance of taking risks, and the transformative impact of pursuing dreams against all odds.

Today, I stand proud as a branding and website designer, seamlessly integrating digital marketing strategies.

My brand is a testament to perseverance and creative vision, thriving on pushing boundaries.

I want the world to know that, despite circumstances, dreams are attainable through resilience and a willingness to take risks.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I must admit, I’m a bit of a homebody. However, when I do venture out, it’s usually to indulge in culinary delights as I’m quite the foodie! I cherish relaxed days and weekends with my family and loved ones, often opting for road trips within the states or Jamaica, exploring rivers, countryside, and beaches.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Lastly, I’d like to give a shoutout to God, the light of my life and the source of all blessings, as well as my children, parents, family, best friend, supportive clients, pastors, and mentors.
