Meet Christopher Harrison | 21 Yr old Entrepreneur, Brand owner & Graphic Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Chicago, Illinois born and raised since 2002. Growing up in Chicago was tough but it made me the successful man I am today. A lot of my outside and social skill came from growing up in the City Of Chicago. Having knowledge of the outside world and what can possibly happen at any moment helped me survive this long. Sometimes I feel like that I can’t pull out my full potential because of where i’m from because of the violence rate. It always been hard for me to trust so sometimes I lock myself up in a bubble where i’m really more focusing on my brand and not going outside as much to enjoy and grab more motivation which can be a huge problem . Although growing up in chicago was tough but it also had positive impacts as well. Chicago taught me alot of things and its one of the main reasons im where im at now with my success. Chicago is such a beautiful city and a lot of people here support me which keeps me going every day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I been a Artist since I was in 3rd grade. One day a friend brung a drawing of his brothers to represent to the class and at the time I felt like it was cool so he gave it to me and I took the drawing home. I got home and practice that drawing for a while until I got it right and ever since then I taught myself how to draw so I been had an Idea for what I would want to do in life which is some type of field in art. Ever since the 3rd grade everyone has noticed me because of my drawing skills and In every class I was in I was the better artist out of my classmates. I was drawing up until 13 and that’s when I received a computer and tablet so I started to teach my self other skills such as graphic design, editing, photoshop etc… I create all my designs for my clothing brand myself and I believe that impacts my brand a lot since I have the skill to edit and change something whenever it’s needed. My brand stands out more because Its more unique than what people would see anywhere else. I even sometimes look back at old artwork and grab projects I made before the thought of my brand and use the art for my brand for new logos and everyone loves it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big shout out to my family ! They are very supportive and without my family I wouldn’t be where i’m at now but a bigger shout out goes to my auntie Meca cause she helped me start my brand with the materials and machines in her office and now I got all the supplies myself. Shout out to my mom for always believing in me and helping me out when I didn’t have enough to buy inventory. Another shout out goes to all my friends who supported me from the beginning and big shout out to AJ, Rell, whom helped me ship packages off and took me to the store when I didn’t have a ride. Shout out to Carson Daly, Chance The Rapper and his organization ” Social Works”. Shout out Jayla brown shes a great friend and we helped each other grow and will continue to do so as our future gets bigger and brighter. Shout out to my other clothing brand friends who motivate me everyday to do better and get better, Kierre and Jaevon. And last but not least Big shoutout to everyone who shops with me!
