We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Lovelady and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say the most important factor behind the success I have is consistency. Consistency is the key. If you continue to produce a product that people love, you will see the fruits of your labor. In my field of work, you want to perform the same when you have 500 people or if you have 2 people. Every event will not be the same but if you put forth the effort and make a connection with your guest, clients or attendees, it will take you a long way in business.

What should our readers know about your business?
DJ. C Love Professional DJ Service is a business that specializes in special events. Whether it is your wedding, a school event, birthday party, or corporate event, we are bringing a high level of professionalism and a great time. With our wide variety of music selections, professional setups as well as our add on offers, we aim to make your simple even look extraordinary. Over the past ten years, we have grown from just providing strictly DJ only service to now offering uplighting, dance lighting, monogram, animated monograms, screens, karaoke, and our newly added photo booth “When Time Stood Still.” We aim to build relationships with our clients and make sure we have a connection before their event. We recognize that these events are special to our clients and want to fulfill their needs and wants beyond their expectations. We are with our clients every step of the way through the process and make it as easy as possible for the client. We will even get on the dance floor with the guest to teach a line dance or pump the party up!

The road will not always be easy. There will be tests, trials, failures, and times you want to give up. Hang in there. With faith in God, perseverance and a drive to be great, it will get you through the rough times, whether in business or in life.

Our hope is to continue to expand and provide job opportunities to the youth and teach them about entrepreneurship. I believe that our youth are the future and are so talented. They will be able to take business to the next level during their lifetime.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Houston, you have to visit the Breakfast Klub, Turkey Leg Hut and Frenchy’s for your food choices. For entertainment and leisure, The Aquarium, our waterparks, and the Galleria for shopping. Houston is such a big city with so much to do. These have been the most popular recently.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shout out to all my past, present and future clients. They continue to give me the motivation to proceed in the DJ business. COVID-19 was a pivotal time for our business, but when you have great clientele, they will always continue to support you. Also, I want to shoutout all the event planners who are consistently booking us for events. We are appreciative for all the opportunities you provide us for your events and trusting we will provide a high quality of service. Furthermore, I cannot go without saying how important family is and showing gratitude to them. They have been the backbone since the beginning and continue to be a key part to our success. To my wife, kids, parents, and siblings, thank you so much for the support and encouragement that has allowed me to be where I am today.
