We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Alcazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cindy, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In the beginning it was something fun and creative to do for my family, later with practice I became passionate and turned it into my hobby. which then led to starting my business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a home baker, based in Houston, Tx . I offer desserts for any event or just a craving! I feel what sets me apart from others, is the detail and love I put into my orders . I like to go above and beyond the customers expectations. I’m most exited for what the year of 2021 holds for me, I look forward to the growth and creative ideas in store for my business. I got where I am today by pushing myself and spending long hours in the kitchen honing my craft. it was not easy in the beginning learning to balance my time around being a wife, and mom. Lessons I’ve learned along the way is that noting good comes easy, hard work and dedication always pay off in the end. I want the world to know that what matter most to me is, customer satisfaction over the dollar.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite Brunch spots are – Fm Kitchen, is a brunch spot with lots of great food options, and amazing Margaritas! – First Watch, a breakfast spot with amazing waffles and great tasting orange juice. Good eat spots: – Guadalajara Hacienda, great tex-mex food, delicious fajitas and nice atmosphere. – Gatlin’s BBQ, perfect to satisfy your bbq craving, food is wonderful! A couple of my favorite spots to have a good time is – Truck Yard, is a fun family friendly place with food trucks and drinks, and a bonus they have a ferris wheel! – Pitch 25, is a really nice gathering spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my family, who has played the taste testing role and gave me honest opinions on how everything was coming along. To my husband who has always been very supportive, helping me come out with new ideas. and most importantly to all my customers who play a big part for trusting me with their orders.
