We had the good fortune of connecting with CLARICE FARINA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CLARICE, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I had to make in my life was changing careers, I was in the construction business for over 20 years as a civil engineer, but I started to get sick, stressed, and decided to heal and be healthy in order to be a good mother for my two boys. So I started a whole new way to do things at home, I changed habits, I changed the way I was eating, and after I studied a lot of different alternative medicines methods, I became a holistic therapist, that was the beginning of what I am nowadays.

The second most difficult decision was living in my country and starting a new life in Texas.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others is my set of skills, I have worked very hard to become one of the best Coaches in the world, and I can say in the world because my classes and conferences are worldwide changing lives. By the time I arrived here 6 years ago I had achieved many goals as a therapist, I was teaching Reiki healing as a master, I was also a master in numerology, and I was developing a method for conscious food based on the knowledge about cooking and food preservation, and my own process of becoming a full vegan (now I’ve been vegan for 5 years), and that was very intense, then I have to migrate and everything I knew about how to do do business was useless.

I have the challenge to do business in another language because even people who speak Spanish after living here for years sell and think shorter than we do in Spanish so I have to change and work on my elevator pitch, for a full year I wasn’t doing any money and I was frustrated, I was to “holistic” people said, so my limiting beliefs about I was given a gif and I have to give away my work ruined me. So one day I decided to merge my two “Clarices” I took my very structured engineer part of me and my very soft holistic part of me and did the Businesswoman I’m now, I created an online academy called REINGENIERÍA DEL SER ACADEMY, which no one had faith in the beginning because is a whole new concept of Numerology Coaching. My unique and creative way of coaching are being the special element for my brand to shine the way it does.

Today I’ve been recognized by the City of Houston for being a leader and inspiring the Hispanic community of Houston, we ( my two partners and me ) also had a Vive Tu Propósito Day proclaimed by Mayor Turner. I have a triple best seller book called “DESCUBRE TU PROPÓSITO DE VIDA A TRAVÉS DE LA NUMEROLOGÍA” and was on my book tour in Miami, Orlando, of course, Houston, and online launching in Europe, Central, and South America. I’m writing my second book. I’m also one of the pioneers of the “Congreso Mundial de Mujeres Líderes Hispanas” organized by the “Congreso Hispanoamericano de Negocios”.
I’m an important part of the Houston community and I have built a brand, and a name everyone trusts and recognized. Just a few days ago I received the exciting news I´m now Venezuela’s Women Economic Forum chapter Houston delegate.

I have learned a lot of lessons in this very hard industry of coaching, because as I always say:

Everybody says they do what I do, but what I do nobody really does it.
Todo el mundo dice qeu hace lo qeu yo hago, pero lo qeu yo hago realmente nadie lo hace.

Perseverance, structure, methodology, and of course an outstanding team and I have the best marketers, system engineers, editors, and photographers combined to make a brand and a company successful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love all of the museums and art district, I was born in Venezuelan but I’m the first generation of Italian immigrants, and my grandmother was a sculptor and artist, she painted and that love took me to collect art back in Venezuela, so I love museums, art galleries, the exhibitions of “immersive experience” like Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo and waiting for the King Tut.

Downtown Houston I love it, so for sure I take her to go and take pictures at the monuments, and the big water wall park, I also love the midtown little sushi bar in front of Match Theater where I hosted my +330 people event last year, and gave my “El Arte de Creer Para Crear” conference in 2019 inside the Match gallery surrounded by the Roberto Weil´s exhibition, he is one of the most famous cartoonists of Venezuelan culture.

A farmers market near me would be a must because I love fresh produce and supporting local entrepreneurs, and then I would take her to every little vegan restaurant in town, even though I have to admit I’m not good at eating out I cook everything I eat, even my cheeses and my own butter but for her, I´d try.

If the climate is nice I take her to Galveston on the Ferry to the Bolivar peninsula.

There are many places I would like to go in Texas and Fredericksburg is going to be my next one.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
With no doubt in my heart, my family has the most important place and recognition in my success because they have to be so resilient, patient, and comprehensive. I work a lot, I have to assist and be present for tv and radio shows, I have to be hours in my office doing my client sessions, zoom meetings, zoom classes, conferences, and writing a book is a very lonely process, so during the time I was writing my first book they had to take my place at home and do all the cooking, cleaning, they did not have the time to talk to me as we usually do, my husband and my two kids are really amazing they help me with my events, they drive when I’m exhausted, they are my support in every crazy project I bring home. My mom is living in Europe now but when I started she helped me a lot too, even though everyone was skeptical because after two decades of a successful engineering career becoming a holistic therapist was quite a change for them.
