We had the good fortune of connecting with Claudia Echeverria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Claudia, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Catering is the hardest part of the industry!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a full-service Catering Company, specializing in Hors d’oeuvres, International cuisine, and signature cocktails. When our clients are looking for a diverse menu they are happy to find out that we can assist them because we do customized menus to fit any of their needs, we work with different budgets and always try to make it happen for them. Our road has not been easy, but I am a firm believer that without obstacles we would not be where we are. There have been days that I wanted to quit but there is nothing that fulfills my heart than seeing people enjoy our food; cooking is MY HAPPY! I have learned to trust my instincts, to be kind, to understand others, and not to focus on the bad because luckily, I am surrounded by great people and I would not change that! At Ginn’s Gourmet Catering we take pride in making our client events a priority and what we offer reflects our integrity and love for food.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely start at Maison Pucha Bistro; owned by 3 amazing brothers, their food is out of this world. Arturos for mouth–watering Italian food, Fernando’s in Sugarland for a nice dinner, Chic Houz for amazing rotisserie chicken, Parrilla Colombiana if you are craving delicious Colombian food, La Pupusa Loca for great Salvadoran food, Pho Bihn 59 for the best Pho ever, my favorite Taco truck Puro Michoacan which is so good, and Jabastian’s for Menudo and Carne Asada. Can you tell I love eating???

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first private Clients; Mr. and Mrs. Harris for always trusting me and teaching me that timing was everything. My sister Zinthya, my best friend Liz Brooks, and especially friends that have become my clients. I am truly thankful for everyone’s support and encouragement.
