Meet Conswello B. Foster | Life Coach/Author/Accountability Partner/Spiritual & Mental Counseling

We had the good fortune of connecting with Conswello B. Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Conswello B., can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business was less a single decision and more a culmination of creative restlessness and a desire for autonomy. As an author/life coach, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling—not just through words, but through the way we build experiences. I realized that the publishing world, while rich with tradition, often left little room for innovation or control over one’s own narrative. That sparked a question: What if I could create a space where stories—mine and others’—could thrive on our own terms?
I wanted to build something that aligned with my values: authenticity, creative freedom, and connection. The business became an extension of my writing—a platform to amplify voices, experiment with formats, and engage readers in new ways. It wasn’t just about selling books; it was about building a community around ideas.
Of course, there were practical considerations too: sustainability, scalability, and the challenge of wearing multiple hats. But at the heart of it all was a simple belief—that stories, when nurtured with care and courage, can change lives. And I wanted to be part of that change, not just as a writer, but as a founder.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an artist and I am sensitive about creativity….
I am a Life Coach with a unique approach—I specialize in the “interior design” of a person. While this may not be a common way to describe personal development, my passion lies in helping individuals uncover what lies beneath their surface, revealing their true potential.
My most meaningful work comes from setting aside my own wants and needs to support others in their journey toward a better life. Success and fulfillment in one’s goals drive me, and I am honored to serve as both a sounding board and an accountability partner for those who entrust me with their growth.
The road to success has been anything but easy. I’ve spent my entire career in Corporate America, where I’ve often had to summon boldness and courage to navigate challenging situations.
One guiding principle I carry with me wherever I go is simple yet powerful: treat others the way you want to be treated. This golden rule has served me well throughout my journey.
Because of it, I’ve cultivated meaningful relationships, built a strong network, and gained access to invaluable resources. It’s a testament to the power of respect, kindness, and integrity in every professional space.
I firmly believe that my purpose extends beyond myself—it is about advancing God’s Kingdom and contributing to a world where people can thrive and live with greater purpose and joy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting me in Houston, I’d make sure she had an unforgettable experience filled with great food, laughter, and meaningful moments.
We’d kick things off with a visit to El Tiempo at 322 Westheimer Rd—where the people, food, and drinks are amazing. Then we’d head to Treebeards in Downtown Houston, specifically the Courtyard Church location. It’s a hidden gem with delicious food and a business-like vibe that’s perfect for a relaxed lunch.
For a more upscale evening, we’d dress up a bit and enjoy dinner at Grace’s on 3111 Kirby Dr. The atmosphere, food, and drinks are top-tier and perfect for a night out.
On Sunday, we’d attend my place of worship, Apostolic Tabernacle at 5547 Cavalcade St—a meaningful part of my week that I’d love to share with her.
Depending on her mood, we’d choose between Pappadeaux or Pappasito’s—both are Houston staples and guaranteed to satisfy.
To unwind, we’d chill on the patio at Faces Houston, soaking in the music and vibing with cool people. Since we both love comedy, I’d find a show at the Houston Improv (7620 Katy Fwy #45) for some laughs and good energy.
For her shopping sweet tooth, we’d spend time at the Houston Galleria (5085 Westheimer), exploring fashion, beauty, and everything in between.
We’d also carve out time to catch up on life at my home, where I’d cook dinner and create space for heartfelt conversation.
To wrap up her visit, I’d take her to Dona Leti’s at 7340 Washington Ave. This spot has its own unique character and vibe—a perfect final touch to a weekend well spent.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give all honor to Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth, and the life. Through His sacrifice, I’ve received salvation, mercy, and grace.
To my family, who have been my unwavering support system, and to my circle of close friends who hold a special place in my heart—thank you.
To the community of 5th Ward, Houston, Texas: your love and encouragement mean the world to me. I’m deeply honored to represent you in a positive light.
To my village—a beautiful collective of family and friends—I send my love always.
And finally, to every little girl who has endured pain in silence, feeling voiceless and unseen: I carry you with me. I will continue to speak out and run with the torch I’ve been entrusted with.
Never forget—dreams do come true. Hold on to yours. Don’t give up!!! Keep going!!!
