We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Marie-Michelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Crystal, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
I don’t believe there is ever any end goal. As human beings we are constantly growing and evolving and with that comes changes in where we want to go and what we want to do. That being said, I couldn’t tell you what position or new business venture I’ll hold 3 years from now but I will say it is a position that will consist of everything I’ve evolved into at that time and I will always be motivating and inspiring others to dream beyond.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a sucker for good food, music and great conversations. For food in my city, I’d certainly recommend tacos at La Calle. Thee best authentic tacos in the city in my opinion. Another great food spot I like is the fish from a Cameroonian restaurant called Marie’s African Flavors. Let’s just say I’m a regular! The city is diverse in cuisine so I’m constantly trying out different cuisines. Houston is not an outdoorsy city so to hang out I’m either brunching somewhere new and catching Sunday day parties or for a night scene going to chill bars with good music. Bar hopping downtown pre-covid never got old! Unfortunately many have shut down but I can’t wait for the city to pick back up.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thee ultimate author of my success is God, without HIM I am nothing. My support system deserves several standing ovations, they speak life into me when I dare to doubt myself. Lastly, I will also credit The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo. It is quite simply my favorite book after the Bible. It tells the story of a young shepherd following his dream and how the universe conspires to make it happen even when he wavers.
