We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Oneday I was sitting and thinking about my next move on life. What am I going to do that will keep me busy, happy and leave my kids and grandkids with something that they will love. I prayed about it and asked God to show me and speak clearly to me. After I received a clear answer I smiled and said “thank you Lord” because He said “candles”( I looooove candles). During the entire process of researching, coming up with a name and planning I asked God to guide me and he did just that and he continues to do so.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My business is a candle business. I hand pour eat candle to ensure a quality safe candle. Each candle is made with love and my customers in mind, so I provided options for all my customers by making are soy and parasoy based candles. I literally pray over each candle when I make it and when I ship each package. I want to expand my business by making car fresheners, carpet fresheners and other smell goods for your home; so recently started making wax melts and wickless candles for my customers that prefer to not have a candle lit.

I’m very proud of myself and often times pat myself on the back because making candles isn’t a easy task. There is alot of testing that’s involved. You have to test each wick that goes inside the jar. You also test the fragrance oil with the wick. Let me give a better example. I can have 2 jars that would use the same wick with the same fragrance but I can change the fragrance to a heavier or lighter fragrance and I would have to change the wick because it will burn differently. The testing phase can be very stressful and costly so I have to find time to give myself a break and meditate so I wont mess up; because I make my candles with love and I don’t want to make them any other way.

I want the world to know I take pride in what I do and I do it with love. I stand behind my products and my goal is to always provide a quality product that’s going to WOW you! If there’s ever a concern or you’re not satisfied I will stand behind my product.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love love love the beach and I love a patio with sun vibes. But I would start with some local eateries in the area that I enjoy and the food is good. I recently visited Thirteen (owned by James Harden) and it was well worth the visit. The ambiance with pleasant and the food was AMAZING!..and of course it had a patio. The Breakfast Klub has some pretty good chicken and waffles. It doesn’t have a patio but the food is well worth the wait and every bite is delicious. Now lets move on down I-45 South to Galveston!!!! I cannot enter Galveston without stopping by one of my favorite road trip stores…BUCEE’S. I always stop anytime I’m on a road trip up 45 North or South. They have some of the best snacks and cleanest restrooms. While in Galveston we will ride the bikes on the beach and enjoy the breeze and take in the atmoshpere. Rent a beach house and bar b que and in the mornings drink my coffee on the porch while listening to the ocean.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh wow! This part is hard because I have so many people that has poured into me and has had encouraging conversations with me to push forward and never give up-even in my darkest times. I want to shout out Corey (my biggest supporter). Thank you for always having my back and being there for me during my most stressful days. Thank you to my kids for encouraging me to push forward to start my business and helping me with the name. Thank you for ALL my supporters and customers that has trusted me to have my products in your home.
