We had the good fortune of connecting with Cynthia Vazquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cynthia, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
A good work life balance has always been a goal of mine. I have always worked Monday-saturday so when i came to skinlab I was excited about creating my own schedule because I can actually have a life now and I didn’t realize how important that was until I had it. Now I feel like I love what I do even more because I don’t live to work I work and live and I’m so grateful and appreciative. It so important to have balance because things are done more genuinely.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am proud of the amount of work it took to get where I am now. Because of everything it took to get here I can truly say I absolutely love what I do and to me it will never be work. My biggest strength has been creating real relationships with my patients/clients. When you actually understand the concern and how to realistically address it by tailoring it to them by their budget and tolerance they appreciate your honesty. I believe each person wants someone they can trust with their skin and understand their goals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Omg! We would definitely start the day with … breakfast @ first watch, snooze, Harry’s
Pedicures @ Milano
Massage @ milk and honey
Hydrafacials @ skinlab!
Light shopping @ ulta
Lunch/happy hour @ Marmo, RA ,
We would definitely hit all the hot spots for happy hour everyday!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Aside from the push and support my mom has always given me I feel like my practice manager Stephanie deserves a shout out. She gave me an opportunity at my dream job when I took a leap of faith. She has always shown support, love and encouragement for all the things I’ve brought to her desk and I will always have love for her. I’m becoming who I am as a professional because of her faith in my potential.
