We had the good fortune of connecting with D. Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi D., do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
There’s this quote/affirmation I’ve coined as “Preserve your Interpretations.” I’ve basically been living by this quote for ten years and beyond. This means staying authentic to the original interpretation of anything received to you. Finding your euphoria in your personal reality and enjoying its bliss.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In chronological order, as an offspring of my ability to perceive, I created a platform on Instagram, @denwrites, to display life vivifications, quotes, and thoughts on an introspective level. September of 2020, I published my philosophy project called “The Others: A Guide to Conscious Thinking.” Available on Amazon. I am exceptionally proud of this written accolade as my work was all heart and soul. The fluidity and quantity of thoughts created my project to be a relative classic. After taking my @denwrites platform to thought, King Lion’s Den “Quoting” Brand was formed. Quotes of thought and perception transformed into worn apparel. Anyone who enjoys self analyzing, the ability to think, and the beauty of their interpretations will love what’s available as well as what’s in store for the future. In the rudimentary stages of my launch, two quotes from my @denwrites platform, which resonated profoundly with my internal self, were “authenticity found in the likeness of what can be seen” and “elongate earth’s representation of what’s seen as fuel for a creative reality.” These quotes refer to my “Preserve your Interpretations” philosophy as staying true to the perception received to an individual by God. “Elongate earth’s representation of what’s seen as fuel for a creative reality” harnesses when what’s commonly deemed as the “mind’s eye” is activated. For instance, one could hear a melody, rhythm and think of the physical representation of what’s in their presence to create a rhapsodic daydream. Black and white “freeze frames” reality. Allows one to meditate in sensation to create inner coherence. As a scientist, I have worked as a Homeschool instructor in Mathematics and Science on all grade-school and some collegiate levels. I’ve also conducted scientific research in my academic years in the field of Nanotechnology and have presented my work at national conferences.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here’s my “friends-chilling” itinerary: Same day of touching down in H-town, a wonderful ride down I-45 South to Galveston, Texas is mandatory for sure. Pleasure Pier. On our way back into the city, it’s necessary we take our ride to the infamous “Turkey Leg Hut.” The turkey legs fall RIGHT off the bone. The next day, we continue our venture. We find ourselves in Midtown. We are at “Taste Bar + Kitchen” ordering chicken and waffles. Enjoying live music. To conclude our conquest, we make our way to “Esther’s Cajun Café Soul Food” where they make the best chocolate chip cookies possibly in Houston, Texas. Northside. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As far as placement of credit and recognition is concerned, I will state that those individuals know who they are. I am appreciative of their endeavors.
