We had the good fortune of connecting with Daisie Nicole Luna-melton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daisie Nicole, what do you want people to remember about you?
My legacy is and will always be my children. They will change the world in more ways than I ever could through my advice and guidance.

They will remember that I became the role model I needed growing up when I only had people in my life that I didn’t want to be like. And my children will be the proof of hard sacrifices and challenges I beared to give them every they need to succeed farther than I ever could.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been modeling since I was 15 after getting recruited, walking In the mall in Las Vegas. That’s how my journey began.

My journey ended when I had my daughter at 18. (Or so I thought) when I went from modeling to mommying and my entire world changed. And I closed the chapter on my dreams. After facing the challenges of motherhood and being so proud of being a mom I knew I needed to change the narrative.

I hated the way people viewed moms as if we weren’t anything else except – MOMS.
I wanted to show my girls that being a mom meant so much and had so much power in it. That being a mom didn’t mean they had to give up things in life but to use that to go after what they wanted even more. That they could be a mom and so much more!

I’m proud to say that I’m living the example I want to show my children to go after they’re dreams regardless of what they face and how many times they’re told they can’t do something. To never give up on something they want.

It was not an easy journey here, facing many battles and obstacles to get where I am today. Being told no I couldn’t do it, I needed to rebuild my portfolio from scratch. Literally starting over in a brand new industry now having social media as a big component. So I had to relearn everything.

I couldn’t have done it without the drive and ambition to want more out of life. To change the way we see women, and moms. And most importantly chase my own dreams of modeling and having a successful business in the creative space.

I didn’t give up and I still have along way to go. I have my faith in god to keep going, because when your meant to do something in life it will chase you back.

I learned In life the only thing you have is choices. Choices on who and what defines you as a person. I chose to chase my dreams and show you it’s possible, nd never give up. Because everything in life is hard, chose your hard.

Know with me if I can’t do it I know someone who can!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
They’d definitely get here on the weekend, and our night would begin Friday night. We’d hit some really cool speak Easys like Notsoho or the soho garden, get some drinks and catch up. Saturday we’d go see some cool places and tourist spots like the waterfall or graffiti park, find some live music or event going on in the city and go on an adventure. We’d grab lunch at cool spot like velvet taco. Finishing off with dinner at Joey uptown, and they maybe hit a night bus tour driving through downtown. Sunday we’d sleep in and get brunch, spending the day catching up and then maybe go home unwind and watch a movie.
Monday we’d go thirsting at all the hot local shops. Maybe get our nails done at the nail bar. Tuesday we’d keep it more lowkey and relax but going to buffalo bayou and painting or going on a nice walk bringing pizza from a local place near by. Finishing with a nice home cooked meal for dinner at the house. Wednesday more sight seeing, having to check out some more local attractions like memorial park or some museums, and get some cool souvenirs. And we’d finished Wednesday night with an photoshoot to remember our time together. And Thursday we’d spend the last day unwinding and preparing for the the trip home on Friday. Saying our last goodbyes taking photos and hitting up some last minute influencer events.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My dad has been my biggest motivator in pushing me towards my dreams through successes and struggles I learned a lot about life and what I want out of it. Teaching me to be not only grateful but strategic in achieving my goals. I also have to give credit to the many strangers that have turned into friends over the years witnessing my growth and continuously encouraging me to go after what I want and reminding me who I am.

– I truly couldn’t have made it this far without you.
