We had the good fortune of connecting with Daisy Arteaga and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daisy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor in my success are my clients. Providing them with a beautiful glow gives each and every single one of them an instant boost confidence! I know this first hand because I can absolutely relate with them. Connecting with my clients in our sessions is very important so that they can feel comfortable with me, I strive for customer satisfaction because if they love their tanning experience than I’ve done my job!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At 24K Airbrush Bar as I mentioned before I strive for customer satisfaction. Giving clients the perfect glow for any event/occasion is very rewarding to me. Changing clients perspectives on “will I look orange” to “I loved my tan, can’t wait to go back again” is what motivates me! An airbrush tan is a minimal and affordable service that provides an instant boost of confidence. It will have you feeling like a million bucks!

Wanting to become my own boss was always something I aspired to do, After tanning for 10+years and loving how these instant results made me feel it was a no brainer that this was the path I wanted take on. I thought to myself I genuinely love it and have the knowledge to provide my clients with as well.

I’ve been in business for a little over a year. It has been a challenging experience, especially in the beginning as I opened my salon during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It was a very scary time because I was starting my business during a time when a lot of other business we’re closing down. Now I am so proud of myself for being able to look back and see how far Ive come in the past year. Overcoming self doubts at first when I was having a slow start of seeing 1-2 clients a week sometimes even 0 was a hard pill to swallow. I often questioned myself if I would “make it”, I was determined in being successful and creating a brand for 24K ABB. I began to use my social media platforms as a marketing tool, remaining consistent with engaging content to also reaching out to strangers to come check out my salon and receive a complimentary spray tan to get the name out. Social media has definitely helped my business grow.

Taking this risky leap of faith both financially and career wise has been a roller coaster but most of all I am excited for what the future holds and meeting more amazing clients!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband made this dream of mine come true, from small talks of “one day” wanting to own my own airbrush salon to now actually living that dream. He’s one of my biggest supporter & believed in me when I didn’t, I will be forever grateful with him for helping me realize of my potential! Another key person who I cherish so much is my brother, he’s always in my corner and gives me the tough love I need to keep succeeding and keep going. Lastly my WHOLE family my parents, aunts/uncles, cousins for all supporting this journey of mine, from referrals to helping out in tough times a big THANK YOU to them!
