We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Gray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
For the majority of my teenage years and throughout my adulthood, I have always worked in customer service and administrative fields. My father was a Senior Pastor for 25 years before passing away in 2018 and I was his administrative assistant for at least 2o of those years. It was in that moment that I found a passion for assisting people and their companies behind the scenes with clerical, admin services, and event management. Working directly with my dad sharpened my skills on how to plan large events such as conferences, banquets, event planning, and more. In 2020, I was blessed to official start my company DLS Management LLC and expanded our services to help people in financial planning/consultation, marketing, credit repair, social media management, and much more.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Do you have big dreams, but are short on time? Let us help you! I have ove50 years of executive level administrative support customer service, financial/bookkeeping, website/social media experience, and event planning. As a team, we pride ourselves on being organized, detail-oriented, excellent with verbal and written communication, and most importantly-hard-working. DLS is available to help you grow in Business as you Build Your Brand. What we are most proud of is the personal/business growth and achievements of every company, entrepreneur, and individual we service. I have learned that the key to success is prayer and consistency. I want the world to know that DLS Management LLC is here to help ease your load as we build your Business, Visions, & Dreams because we are “Certified Vision Builders.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting my town for a week, depending on the weather conditions in Detroit, MI, I would start the tour right in Downtown Detroit. First, we would begin with touring the Detroit Riverwalk and walk along the river front of the city to view the boats, live music, multicultural artwork, food vendors and more– I would advise that he/she wear comfortable shoes because the Riverwalk is about 2-3 miles long. The city of Detroit has so many amazing places to visit but you cannot come here with without eating an authentic Coney Island Hot Dog (Detroit Style Chili, onions, and mustard) from American Coney Island. No trip would be complete without visiting the Motown Museum to see the history of Motown Records and the birth of the “Motown Sound.” In addition, we would go to the Charles H. Wright Black History Museum, the Detroit Science Center, and the Detroit Institute of Arts better known as the DIA. The Detroit weekend/nightlife scene is the place to be…all four of our sports teams’ (Detroit Pistons, Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, & The Detroit Red Wings) stadiums are also in located in Downtown Detroit so there is always a sports event or concert to attend. We could also attend a play or concert at the famous Fox, Detroit Opera House, or the Music Hall Theater. Last but not least I would recommend eating dinner at a restaurant called Fishbone’s for a taste of Louisiana Cajun Cuisine and live music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In all things I give honor to God because it’s from Him whom all my Blessing Flow! In addition, I would not be where I am today without having amazing, supportive, loving and praying parents. They gave me unconditional love in everything I did. Even if it was a great idea or an idea I “bumped” my head and had to learn a lesson they gave me the freedom to be me and learn who I was a person. Last but certainly not least, I give recognition to my super intelligent, amazing, and loving nine-year old son William. He is my motivation as why I work so hard make the choices that are necessary to better our family and the generations to come.
