We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Nakeia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a freelancer in the social media or graphic design field, my thought process centered on leveraging my passion and talents to create a business. I aimed to offer unique and creative services, build a strong online presence, and establish a niche to stand out in a competitive market. Setting clear goals and creating a solid portfolio were essential steps in showcasing my skills and attracting potential clients.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Wow, these are all great questions…

As a creator, my work stands out through its style but more importantly how it captivated others. What sets me apart is the dedication to pushing boundaries and exploring new perspectives in my work, whether it’s creating a website or helping a business with their social media identity or brand, I take pride in the ability to adapt to evolving trends while maintaining a unique signature style that resonates with my audience.

The journey to where I am today professionally was far from easy. I faced challenges such as navigating a competitive landscape and overcoming creative blocks. Persistence, continuous learning, and embracing failures as opportunities for growth were pivotal in overcoming these hurdles. The lessons learned along the way have shaped not only my craft but also my resilience and determination. My brand and story are reflections of authenticity, passion, and a commitment to evolving creatively. I want the world to know that my business/brand is not just about graphics and designs but also about the identity it creates for others to win in their branding for their online presence as well!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are way too many things to do in Orlando but if we are keeping it simple I’d say just fun things to do downtown, daytime events only we’d save the nights for dinners elsewhere!

We’d start with a stroll around Lake Eola Park, soaking in the scenic views and maybe even renting a swan boat. Our morning would kick off with brunch at a local gem like Se7en Bites or The Boheme inside the Grand Bohemian Hotel.

The afternoon could be spent exploring the Thornton Park district, grabbing coffee at Stardust Video and checking out the local boutiques. For a cultural touch, an afternoon at the Orlando Museum of Art or the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts would be on the agenda.

Evenings would be dedicated to enjoying the diverse culinary scene. Dinner wouldn’t be downtown, this is the only thing I would do elsewhere. Maybe Disney Springs for dinner spots, they have a wide selection of places to eat for foodies!

Midweek, a visit to ICON Park for its entertainment options and the Orlando Eye would add a twist. I’d add a day at one of the world-renowned theme parks nearby would be a must for the ultimate Orlando experience.

Throughout the week, in the day, we’d also add mingling with the lively crowd at Wall Street Plaza or catch live music at The Social. Exploring the unique neighborhoods like Mills 50 for its diverse food scene.

The aim would be to blend the excitement of theme parks with the local charm, creating a dynamic and unforgettable week in Orlando.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom does! 100%

A heartfelt shoutout to my incredible mom (GiGi), the cornerstone of my life. Your boundless love, unwavering support, and nurturing guidance have shaped me into the person I am today. You’ve been my rock, offering encouragement during the highs and comforting reassurance during the lows. Your selflessness and sacrifices never go unnoticed, and I am endlessly grateful for the warmth and strength you bring to our family. This shoutout is a small token of appreciation for the immense impact you’ve had on my life. Thank you, Mom, for being my constant source of love and inspiration.
