Meet David Gomez Jr | Fashion Model & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Gomez Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Because I wanted to use the talent and creativity that I was blessed to provide for others, and I wanted to also see how far this would get and get feedback from other to see if this was worth something for me continuing to pursue in my life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey started when I was about to graduate from high school I began to get into the fashion industry working with photographers building a portfolio and a fan base in the modeling industry. I then had to take a temporary break due to me moving back to my hometown in Houston, TX after getting things settled and out of my situation I began to go into entrepreneurship and start my own Clothing Business “Fallen Idols”, with the influence of my role models to help get a bigger audience in my career and be able to be the next top brand in the future . It wasn’t easy at the start I jumped into the industry head first with no knowledge of anything from manufacturers, marketing, designing, nothing at all and rushed a lot of things that didn’t come out in good results. Then I finally connected with good coaching, found some great courses, great vendors & designers and I am now ready for what’s about to follow up soon. Part of the process is that you’re going to make mistakes in your journey all that matters is that you move forward and learn from them and do better continuing your journey. I am now proud to say that I am happy at where my brand has gotten so far and can’t wait for better success.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are a lot of good vibes to check out in Houston many clubs, lounges, nice downtown scenery, lots of good restaurants and more. Me personally I would take you out to see “The Galleria” area of Houston and would go out to eat at places like “The Turkey Leg Hut” or the “Breakfast Club” and could hang out at spots like “KAMP”, or “Playground Lounge”
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes of course I always give back to those who gave me and kind of knowledge that would help me better in business starting from my Mentors Kayla Parrilla, Hollywood Shack, Dretheshoota. And also will give a shoutout to my influences that motivated me to get into the industry other brands like Milano Di Rouge, Ricchezza, Off-White. Last but not least My Mother for all the love and support for my brand
