We had the good fortune of connecting with Deborah Esther Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deborah Esther, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
By the end of my career, I want to be a thought leader who has proven the necessity of faith and creativity in actualizing human potential, especially through interdisciplinary art and business. My goal is to show that when we blend these elements, we unlock growth that is not just profitable, but deeply transformative. Through God Factor Consulting, I aim to help faith-based founders overcome stagnation through creative strategy and networking. We are building a thriving community of Spirit-filled creatives and founders through bartering, guerilla marketing, and the God Factor Framework. Ultimately, I want to demonstrate how powerful and essential faith is to innovation and holistic prosperity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art thrives on the GOD factor. I create by responding to what I perceive God saying, prophetically.
Right now, I’m thrilled about my album BECOMING. Originally, AGAPE, inspired by the Song of Solomon, explored the divine romance between Christ and His bride. It aimed to challenge cultural norms on purity and love while fostering healing. After a significant personal crisis, AGAPE evolved into BECOMING. This shift mirrors my journey through spiritual refinement, identity restoration, and healing through several cycles of affliction.
My path has been tough—homelessness, relationship trauma, and spiritual battles have tested me. These trials shaped my artistic vision and deepened my faith. Embracing resilience and finding solace in scripture helped me overcome every obstacle and influence my creative process.

I’ve learned the importance of embracing God’s truth as my mental framework for life, faith’s power, and resilience’s necessity. With BECOMING, I hope to inspire others to discern their callings in their struggles. Our battles are custom-fit to our destinies. The problems we reflect exist to reflect the solutions inside of us. However, many of us settle for how the experience “feels.” We allow pain to deceive us out of our true identities. Many of us leave this earth without maximizing our potential because the pride rooted in our humanity tells us that we are omnipotent and omniscient–or at the very least, tells us that we need to strive to become. This way of living deepens our despair and dissatisfaction and, eventually, causes us to disappear into the “matrix” or “rat race” of the status quo. But, growing roots in the unconditional love of our maker and discovering His divine (largely, altruistic) purpose in our pain are keys to…BECOMING.

My art isn’t just creative expression; it’s a prophetic message. I want people to see that BECOMING is more than music—it’s a movement! BECOMING is a call to transform pain into purpose and BECOME the greatest form of yourself through faith!
