Hi Dillin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting a home inspection company for me was honestly something that I feel was destined. When COVID hit, I lost my job in the healthcare/IT industry. In that role, my team and I were constantly traveling, around 85% of the time. However, when travel came to a halt due to the pandemic, my team was let go. It was a stressful time for my then-fiancée and me. We were young, just engaged, and planning our wedding and buying a house. I didn’t like the feeling of our lives being put on hold due to something beyond our control. After discussing my feelings with an aunt, she suggested looking into the home inspection industry. I loved the idea because I saw an opportunity to assist people in situations similar to ours. The home buying process is a significant moment for many individuals, and the idea of playing a key role in that process and helping people was incredibly appealing to us. Additionally, the notion of building something that I could pass down to my future family held great importance to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d start our Atlanta adventure with some classic wings from American Deli, a must-try for anyone visiting the city. After satisfying our taste buds, we’d embark on a city tour, taking in Atlanta’s blend of historic charm and modern developments. Our culinary journey continues with a visit to No. 246 in Decatur for delectable Italian cuisine. Then, we’d head to The Battery in Smyrna to catch a Braves game and soak up the lively atmosphere. The rest of the week would be filled with endless possibilities, from exploring cultural landmarks to indulging in outdoor activities, ensuring an unforgettable experience tailored to our shared interests.

In dedicating my shoutout, I’d like to express gratitude to my friends and family, who have provided unwavering support throughout my journey. However, above all, I must acknowledge my wife and God. My wife has been a constant source of strength and encouragement. Whether it’s brainstorming ideas late into the night, navigating through prosperous times, or persevering during slower periods, she has stood by my side, cheering me on every step of the way. Additionally, I attribute much of my success to the guidance and blessings from God, which have illuminated my path and fueled my determination.
