We had the good fortune of connecting with Dionna James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dionna, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
When I first started my business I was burning both ends of the stick between my day job, my business and other things I was involved in. One day I wore myself completely thin and needed up getting sick and from that moment on I decided that I need to set some boundaries and create a set schedule and now things run so much smoother. So morale of the story is create a solid schedule and set boundaries for yourself and your business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’d like to think the thing that sets me apart is the fact that I’m a mobile stylist. Allowing my clients to get glammed in the comfort of their own homes. Everything is done at a convenience for them.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Houston is such a big city with so much to offer! I love going to little happy hour spots,  eating some great food. I look for new places to go to, of course I love supporting Black owned business. I enjoy good pop up selfie museums, Along with some great shopping.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has been a huge support, as well as my friends and loyal clients.
