We had the good fortune of connecting with DJ Teddi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DJ, what principle do you value most?
Integrity:

Integrity is important to me because it is the practice of being effective and doing what is right especially when it comes to doing business. You have to have a standard when it comes to success. You can’t call it success if you are not satisfied.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Teddi Tuesday stands for To Enhance Direct Develop and Inspire. I want to inspire people to know that if you have a dream to chase it and make it into a reality. Discipline will take you places motivation cannot. I started my vison 3 years ago at my grandmother’s house. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew I wanted to do podcasting but on a different level. I wanted something that stood out and that’s how I started my Teddi Tuesday Live Podcast. What sets me apart of everyone is I am just a workaholic and I want to be the best so in order for my business to look the way it looks I have to put the work in. It is not easy by any means but when you love what you do it makes it worthwhile. As any entrepreneur will tell you this territory comes with a lot of challenges that you will face but I do a lot of praying ask GOD to cover my footsteps. I have a really good support system in place. I also have pictures of my late grandmother who was also entrepreneur and here I am following in her foots steps. She would be proud. some of the things I’ve learned in the business Not all money is good money. This is a lesson many entrepreneurs struggle with early in their career. There are no cheap shortcuts in marketing the way you market your brand say’s a lot about the structure of your product. Most importantly Just do it. Planning, strategizing and weighing options all have important roles within a business. But there comes a point in time when you just have to do it. You know the quote: “Better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing perfectly.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I don’t get out much because I’m really a home body but when I do I love a good brunch. One of my favorite places to have brunch is Jupitar Pizza it’s in the Sugarland area. They have the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! Oh, and the fried bacon is to die for literally lol. Not to mention I top it off with my favorite pomegranate mimosa. Also, I love crawfish so when its crawfish season I call up my buddy and we go to this place called the Seafood Place. Literally the best crawfish in town!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Firstly, I want to say thank you to my team, we would not be where we are today if it, we not for the time hard work support and dedication put in. I appreciate all of you. I cannot say thank you enough. Secondly, I would like to give a huge thank you to all of our past and present sponsor’s. More importantly I want to highlight one of our sponsors specifically and that is the Marketing Director from Footlocker Houston and her team. Her and her team have helped make a difference in our community.
