Meet Dolla Baby | Hip Hop Music Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dolla Baby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dolla, why did you pursue a creative career?
Well the reason i am pursuing an artistic career is because the simple fact is i love music and not only one type of music I’m talking all music from smooth jazz to country to rap and hip hop, its something i love to do and from a young age of being a wild teen and running the streets music took me out of that and into something to better my life since I’ve been 17 I’ve been learning about hip hop and rap and about becoming the artist i am today and in the future and i can’t see my self doing anything else!!!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well how i get where i am today is simple hard work and dedication and a whole lot of self promotion grinding hard and making an effort to put my self out int he city and start my buzz, and the journey was not easy at all from managing having a full time job and pursuing a career that takes a lot of time dedication and money and energy but like i said its something i love to do and would make sure i don’t fail. I’ve learned that no matter what life throws at you do not give up keep pushing and keep the dream alive because it does not work unless you do. i just want the world to know about my brand an story is I’m just a kid with a dream and is in love with music and love to entertain people !!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
some of my fav spots to hit in my city for foods to eat are a place called Wingz Up its a dope wing place always good bites drinks for sure hit up trudys for the best Mexican martinis !!! if the day was sunny we would go to green belt a local lake where we can go hang out drink smoke and have a great time in the water if not we could hit up the local Austin Daiquiri factory for the best daqs in town !!! then the night life is endless here can go from The Dirty 6th street too Rainey Street and even north to The domain and hit up the most popular clubs in austin such as Cheers shot bar , Bijou lounge and VooDoo Room.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
i want to dedicate this shout out to my boy Chi-Town and The Cipher ATX because with out you/Yall i would have never got into music the way i did.
