We had the good fortune of connecting with Doraliz Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Doraliz, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
This question is in every business owner today. It is a dilemma we all face. But I have faith and I believe in what ExitusVR brings to the city of Houston. We bring happiness, we bring togetherness, we love what we do and people love coming to ExitusVR. I am going to remain positive and optimistic that we are all going to be ok. 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am originally from Puerto Rico, but Houston has provided a home for me. I retired after serving 27 as a Deputy U. S. Marshal. As a Deputy Marshal my duties and responsibilities were to assess and identify threats, a skill that I believe has provided me with the ability to understand how people behave in a certain situation. So, I applied my abilities to the world of virtual reality and subsequently to how people would behave when they are immerse in different scenarios. I can understand and assess what would be the best scenario and how to help them when they need help. Making sure that they are safe and secure at all time. The various escape rooms that we offer at ExitusVR are family friendly and are made to ensure that who ever plays will have a wonderful experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start with bringing then ExitusVR, were they enjoy a virtual reality escape room. Then I would take them to taste the wonderful restaurants that Houston have to offer. A trip to Galveston to walk the Pier and eat some sea food. A day of museums and parks and day at NASA Space Center. There is so much to do in this cosmopolitan city!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to send a shoutout to our clients for believing in us and for sharing to their friends and family the wonderful experience they have when they visit ExitusVR.
