We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Krisshundria James and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Krisshundria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Listen starting your own business is not easy, but it is exciting! There are times when you question yourself. My first thought was “God why did you choose me for this?” Starting a business was terrifying, but yet rewarding. It was like God pushed me to step out of my comfort zone. I was constantly weighing the pros and cons, the risks, and other considerations that was overwhelming and fear and doubt started to kick in. My thought process behind starting my own business was I thought I was going to be a failure and because I was scared, I thought my business was not going to be a great business.. I heard from people I wasn’t ever going to be good enough, I was a worthless piece of trash and with the attitude I had I was not going to get anywhere. I did not know how my business was going to turn out, where my clients were going to come from and where God was taking me. The devil started to put thoughts in my mind like, “Am I good enough for this?”, “I can’t do this”, “What if I fail at this?”. On top that I had thoughts like, “God wouldn’t give me a business to start and then leave me”. “God has a purpose and plan for my life.” When I started my business I was torn, shattered, broken and seeking God of where to go next, When God gave me a vision for my business, I knew I had to seek God deeper. One thing I did know is I stood daily on Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you”, Philippians 4:13 “I can do ALL THINGS though CHRIST who strengthens me!” and Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” These are my three verses I live by daily, but did I think about these when starting my business, yes and no. I knew all I had to do was pray, trust God and follow His lead, but I was battling with starting my business because the enemy did not want me to fulfill God’s purpose for my life. My business is apart of God’s purpose and plan for my life. When fear and doubt creeped up in my mind, I always thought to myself, “There is purpose in this! Keep praying and seeking God and He will do the rest.” Sometimes when accepting God’s assignment for your life, that includes your business, you just have to step back and allow God to do the work and be patient while you do the inner self work. I knew there was a lot of self work I had to do on the inside while God was leading me. Scared and afraid, I allowed God to lead me and followed the vision God gave me for my business. Do it scared and afraid and DO NOT take GOD out of the frontline of the vision God gave you for your business. ALWAYS KEEP GOD FIRST AND ALLOW GOD TO LEAD YOU!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would love to shout out to God. God gets all the credit and recognition for my life. God has shown me so much grace and mercy even when I did not deserve it. God loves me when I’m at my highest and when I’m at my lowest. GOD, My Father in Heaven gets my Hallelujah and ALL The Glory and Praise! God is who made me who I am today. God continues to show out in my life.
Next, I would love to give a shout out to my daughter Krystiana. My daughter is my bestfriend, my love, my joy, my strength and so much more! My daughter changed my life when I found out I was pregnant with her last year and when she came into this world last year, life changed for me in a wonderful way. I knew it was all about God and my daughter. My daughter is my blessing. She motivates me to go harder for what God has for me and to walk out God’s purpose for my life. My daughter teaches me to be patient with myself. My daughter and I show eachother unconditional love! My daughter is my Why! I will leave a legacy for my daughter.
I would love to shout out my mother Brenda. My mom is my bestfriend, my listening ear, my everything. My mom is there when no one else is there. My mom gives the best advice, guidance, raised me to be a great woman of God, I admire her strength and resilience. She has carried me through many tough times and never complained. My mother supports me through hard times and never gives up on me! When you look into your mother’s eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth. A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take. My mother is a joy to my life and is the best mother I could ever ask for!
I would love to give a shout out to my Queen sister Prophetess Sudena Sturgis. My big sister is always there when I need her to be. She believes in me when I do not believe in myself. Prophetess Sudena encourages my own personal growth and change and helped me grow in ways I did not expect. She has helped me grow in so many areas of my life because she holds me accountable daily. Prophetess Sudena helps me to discover and develop in areas that no one sees. She accepts me for who I really am, not just what she wants me to be. Prophetess Sudena doesn’t judge my decisions or make fun of my personality, but rather encourage and support it to walk out God’s purpose for my life. Our friendship/being sisters benefits us is by increasing authenticity and trustworthiness among each other since through mutual understanding of each other’s needs/wants etc., honesty between each other becomes easier without fear of judgment from one another Plus having someone else there who understands exactly where both parties stand gives.
Lastly, I would love to shout out my mentor Shellie Jones. She is always willing to listen to me giving unbiased advice or opinions using her relevant knowledge and experience. She gives the best constructive feedback. Shellie has helped me to identify my strengths and weaknesses, set realistic goals, and develop a plan for achieving them. Shellie gives emotional support and guidance and encourages me to take on new challenges
