We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr.quianna Glapion and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr.Quianna, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
First and foremost, my trajectory is fueled by faith and intrinsic motivation. In addition, I know that I needed to make my spiritual gift of encouragement to work for me. In other words, I asked myself: “How can I make an income while being impactful?” As a result, I decided to put encouraging words to apparel.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Television is the genesis of my journey. As a collegiate, I wrote for WDSU-TV (NBC affiliate) evening news. Afterwards, I started my English teaching career in Secondary Education. Subsequent to this, I pursued my Masters and PhD to gulf my dreams of becoming I college professor. As of this writing, I serve as professor of Graduate Writing, African American Literature, Linguistics, and Rhetoric.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My loved ones have visited often, and we have the most fun wherever we can engage in discourse regarding how successful moments and failures. We love Cajun style restaurants and Jazz spots.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I know I am not self made. Therefore, I am indebted to God, my mother, and prayer warriors. I’ll be honest: There were times that I wanted to throw in the towel, but God pitched it back!
