Hi Dr. Roshundria, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
To start every day I wake up seeing and saying Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.” When I thought of starting my own online boutique business, I focused not only on the challenges that I would experience mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically but the success that I would have along the way. I thought about the ability to endure any situation the Lord puts before me. In fact, this quote helped and still helps me to understand that whether I ever reach my dreams or not, I can handle it because there is a bigger purpose for my life. That I can handle the good and the bad because Christ strengthens in a sense of handling prosperity and being in need. Implying that whatever circumstances the Lord presents before me, he also equips me with strength to handle them in a way that honors him. The reason this quote resonance with me starting my own business is because the reality is that I was never an entrepreneurial person, but I was always one who was a dreamer and a rule breaker. In fact, having a doctorate in Executive Educational Leadership and a boutique still feels terrifying because they require two distinctively different lanes in my opinion. However, although I am unfamiliar with all the protocols and procedures of running a business, I know that the benefits of learning how to run a business and having something that you can call your own far outweigh the cons. With Dr. Boss Bae LLC I plan to show women that their vision and style does not have to be limited to what they see. Therefore, I want to cater to women who want to transition from business casual style to casual classy style with ease. For instance, I want my customers to be able to wear statement t-shirts that express their feelings with slacks and heels without being considered unprofessional and to show they still mean business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Created by Dr. Roshundria King, Dr. Boss Bae LLC is a bona fide apparel, accessories, and beauty online boutique that appeals to women with varied body measurements and business casual styles. Our focus is on providing the best business casual product at the best price and getting it to our customers fast. It is hard enough finding decent business casual clothing, and everyone has their own preference on what types of clothing fits them best. Dr. Boss Bae LLC offers styles that flatter any type of body and statement t-shirts accommodating the various feelings that women like to express. Although we are a new and upcoming online boutique, we want our customers to rejoice at being able to constantly change up their business casual style outfits without breaking the bank. With our statement t-shirts we want to ensure women can express their thoughts without having to make an announcement. At some point, we want our consumers to feel like Dr. Boss Bae LLC is less about business casual fashion and more about showing women of all kinds the options available for them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being that Houston has so many things to partake in, I would take my friends to several places to get a great feel of Houston’s finest. We would start by going to Taste Bar + Kitchen or Lucille’s located in Midtown. They both have an awesome brunch that consists of globally inspired comfort foods & cocktails. For the evening, we would go to Amalya or The Domain for a nice relaxing vibe that has Afro-culture dishes and comfort food. However, for seafood that has an American Creole taste, we would go to Acadian Coast.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My daughter (Kennedy Lawson), my mother (Valeria Foster), and siblings (Demarco and Cecille King) deserve a shoutout. I have the most amazing village that has never once told me what I could not do and has stood beside me through numerous journeys. My thought process is one that many would call spontaneous because I often see no limits, so I do not know what I would do without their support. My daughter is very observant and motivates me beyond measures. She has been with me every step of the way. My job as a single parent has been made easier because of her patience and understanding. Kennedy is an amazing and smart young lady. I see a lot of me in her because she is driven and extremely independent. As she plans to go off to college, I know she will make me proud beyond measures.
