We had the good fortune of connecting with Dumm Munee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dumm Munee, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Wanting to have a brand that represents the culture in a way that hasn’t been presented or maybe it has been presented just not the way I see it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started out a song writer then I got into rapping. However it didn’t go anywhere until I started engineering and learning the business and helping other artists creatives alike achieve their goals and dreams and through that my dreams started to become a reality. At times you can be so blinded by what you think something should look like that you can overlook what you want because you misunderstand it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
ArtTechHouse, Technology & Space Art Exhibit Rooms, if they have children the Color Factory, the museum of natural science, the Zoo, club wise is up in the air there so much of a variety in the city that there’s something for every one, Taste Houston, Prospect Park, Bald Kitty, The Flat, Alley Kat, Off the record, &Mocha HTX to name a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank everyone I’ve come across in life I know a lot of people and everyone of them has played some role in a significant way no matter how big or small in shaping me into who I’ve become and becoming.
