Hi Ebony, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to my success is being able to pivot. Throughout my journey as a digital strategist and creator, social media has changed over and over again. Being flexible, open to learn, and quick to adapt are essential, especially when your goal is longevity. You always have to be able to look ahead and create opportunities for growth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Ebony K. Agency is designed to help minority business owners excel on social media. In today’s digital climate, having a strong online presence is essential for businesses across industries. Research shows that 81% of customers conduct online research before purchasing a product. Companies without a strong online presence suffer from lack of customer trust, lower brand awareness, and limited market reach. I founded my agency because I saw a gap in the market and knew that I was equip to help give minority business owners the assistance they needed to thrive.

Before the launch of Ebony K. Agency I owned a similar brand where I would coach business owners on how to grow their social media, however I found that a lot of business owners do not have the time to dedicate to online branding. This is why I made the pivot to social media management & done for you content creation. Using my background and experience as a creator, I knew that I could be more helpful for my clients in this capacity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had friends visiting, there are a ton of places I’d take them. More than likely, we would eat at The Honey Hole which is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. We would also visit The Sunrise House, Lombardi, and Postinos for food and drinks, depending on the time of day. To hang out, we’d go to either FAO, Clarkwood, or Maya Lounge. Other places worth visiting are Rooftop Cinema, Seismique, Top Golf, and Koya.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. They have been there through every crazy idea and pivot as a listening ear ready to offer encouragement. I would not have had the courage to chase my dreams without their support and constant motivation. I owe everything to them for being amazing.
