We had the good fortune of connecting with Edmond Parrish and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edmond, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As crazy as it sounds, all of my decisions in life are risk based. I’m a natural born thrill seeker, and believe in living my life outside of the box. This is a mantra that I practice in my fashion choices and life decisions. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m very intentional and tactical, but I believe that life is too short to live inside of a comfort zone. I was born a creative, and worked a job that I hated for 4+ years. I always knew that my purpose on Earth was bigger than what I was settling for. I decided to take a risk on myself and I’ve been living (in what feels like) my prime every since.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a menswear & lifestyle blogger who uses fashion trends to inspire men to think outside of the box. My mission aims to teach men to always put their best foot forward, and understand that self-care matters. My personal style mixes elegant classics, and trendy street-wear to create a sophisticated style with an edge. Aside from fashion, my overall goal is to help my audience maximize their potential in all areas of life.

Quick backstory on me, I was born and raised in Mississippi. I moved to Houston in 2017, to further pursue my career in sales/finance. I worked in this field for about 4 years ( until covid hit in 2020). During my tenure, I began to feel as though I was losing myself and just doing what I had to do to make a living. My work didn’t feel purposeful and I felt empty inside. Fashion was always my outlet and something that made me happy. So, in my spare time, I worked as a menswear tailor to help fill this void.
I always had good engagement on social media, but I never knew this was something I could monetize. July 2020, I started educating myself on Influencer Marketing and Social Media Monetization. I booked my first paid collab 9/20, and that was all the confirmation I needed to KEEP GOING!!!
Fast Forward, I’ve worked with 20+ brands, secured Multi 4 figure deals, and I’m also well into 5+ figures in revenue so far this year.
I said all that to say, month over month I keep succeeding and it further affirms that I WAS MADE FOR THIS! I’m self taught, and I learn something new everyday. I have moments of frustration, doubt, and overall fatigue, but those challenges force me to GROW and perfect my craft. I’m not an expert, just a regular guy who took a risk and did the work!
My goal now is to educate others on what I did to start and continue securing brand deals. So, aside from my own personal influencer work, I offer brand consultations to help upcoming and existing creators monetize their brand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you know me you know I’m all about good eats and a good time. Houston is such an entertainment hub, so someone’s always visiting, therefore I’m always hosting. A few of my favorite Brunch/Dinner spots would be: Bisou, A’bouzy, Moxys, Mastros steakhouse, Turkey Leg Hut, Lost & Found, Phil & Derek’s. Taste bar + kitchen.
Now if we’re talking about bars/lounges I can go on for days, but a few are: The Address, KAMP, Seaside Lounge, Bar 5015, Atomic Bottle, Bar 2200, Axel Rad, Belle Station, and Chapman & Kirby to name a few..
Outdoor activities would include: Riding scooters in downtown Houston or just lounging at one of the many parks we have.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to dedicate my sense of style, attention to detail, and work ethic to my mom. From an early age, she poured into me, and taught me to always put my best foot forward. She taught me to always be confident in my abilities and to always count my blessings. She lit the torch, and I took off with it. She has always been my best teacher, and biggest supporter so for that I’m forever indebted. Secondly, my journey and success as a content creator is hugely dedicated to everyone who has supported me online. Engagement and support via social platforms has gotten me the exposure and networking opportunities to help get me to this point, and for that I am forever grateful. I thank you all for being apart of my journey, and I’m exited to continue grow with you.
