Meet Emily Rebollar | Artist and Creator, and Small Business Owner.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Rebollar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Houston, born and raised. During my childhood I was never able to stay in one spot, my mom was a single mom of 5, and with that came a lot of instability and constantly moving around. My mom always had to juggle multiple jobs at a time, all while taking care of us, she showed me what it means to never give up, and that I could literally do anything. She was always my inspiration when I felt like giving up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started as a makeup artist 8 years ago, and as the pandemic hit last year I was able to have a different outlet for my creativity. I started working with polymer clay, as oppose to women’s faces and fell in love with the art. It was definitely a challenge but every mistake just became a lesson and I started perfecting my craft along the way! My brand, Lilly’Rose Shop, was created for my daughters, as an inspiration for them, for them to have one more thing that mommy can teach them as they grow up. My oldest’s middle name is Rose, and my middle child’s name is Lilly, hence the name of my little shop. As a Latina, and a mom, my mission is to inspire my three kids to always want more, and to always do whatever it takes to achieve it. Being a mom to three kids, and a wife is so much work, a lot of time people ask me how I juggle it all, my answer always is, I do my best, that’s it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say two people. My mom, because my entire youth she showed me that no matter all the obstacles life throws at you, we can do it. And my husband, the definition of a true hustler and hard worker, always inspiring me with his hard work and ability to do it all.
