We had the good fortune of connecting with Eno Oduok and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eno, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I didn’t see enough representation of Nigerians in non-traditional career fields, such as communications, public relations, and graphic design. I didn’t see it in my inner peer circle and I didn’t see an online community for it. So I decided to create a global space for Nigerian creatives & professionals in overlooked career fields. A community-based media platform where they are empowered and celebrated. A space where they can connect and learn from each other. A space where social & career stigmas are challenged, where people can learn and embrace non-traditional stories and distinctive paths.

Can you tell our readers who you are and what you’re passionate about? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Eno! I am a Nigerian-Houstonian, your favorite hustler, an avid dream chaser who is passionate about storytelling and the essence of community.

In my personal and professional life, I’m blessed with the opportunity to create culturally-relevant content for brands as well as engage in community-building and advocacy efforts. Due to my passion, I created my brainchild Naija Comm.

I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for God and my loved ones. The journey of self discovery isn’t an easy one. I’m constantly learning about myself and other people. Over the years, I realized that is a good thing. It’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out, life is ever-changing. Just continue to live it everyday & chase your dreams and aspirations. I want the world to know that me and my brand are just getting started and it’s only up from here.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends and I are pretty chill. We would explore Midtown and Downtown Houston. Check out an art exhibit or go to the mall. We would go out to eat at local restaurants or food trucks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my family, friends, NC fam, and anyone who has ever supported me!
