We had the good fortune of connecting with FSG Rell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi FSG Rell, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was that I wanted to help people. I know how people feel when they feel like they’re missing a piece of them. Listening to music and succeeding helps people in their own lives.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is music. I make music to inspire others, music has always intrigued me. How listening to music you can share feelings with the artist that made the music. That feeling is what got me started in music.
What I’m most proud of is that as I’ve gotten deeper into the business I’m still as open minded as I was when I came in. I still have fresh energy and new ideas.
I got to where I am now through investing. Invest your money into yourself and you will see results. It’s very trying, you have to push through every loss. No matter how big or small, keep going.
I overcame these challenges by drawing inspiration from anything I could. I looked at every failure as a learning experience.
I’ve learned along the way to do your own research, look into people thoroughly before working with them, build your credit and have fun.
I want the world to know that I’m going to continue to break barriers for everybody, I’m going to lead the way for the small town heroes. We are going to make history.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Monday we would go to an underground bar which has a nice cool vibe. Perfect fir a Monday. You can meet potential investors or just hang out with good vibes. Tuesday we would go eat breakfast at Ice House. This place has amazing breakfast. Then later on we would go for a walk at Manatawny park to unload some of those calories.
Wednesday we would visit Brownstone Media, a nice creative space that has many levels to it that we could explore.
Thursday we would visit Concept at night which is a great spot to meet new people, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Friday we would go to J.J Rattigan, it’s a nice new restaurant that has live entertainment on Friday afternoons.
Saturday visiting Uptown Flavors and eating behind the community college would be on the agenda. Enjoying soul food while enjoying nature.
Sunday I would buy my friend some donuts from DonutNV so they would leave with a parting gift that they wouldn’t forget.
These places are the heart and soul of my city right now; Pottstown, PA.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to everyone that supports me. From my family, closest friends, to the strangers who support me. My supporters are the ones that fuel me, the support is what keeps me going when my faith ever wavers.
