We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregory Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gregory, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well during the peak of the pandemic I started my process into acting and my fiancé thought it would be cool to start that podcast at that time since we were all stuck in the house. So we bought one single mike, signed up for all the podcast sights, made our logo and pictures ourselves and boom we were in business.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well other than Get It Twogether I am currently in the Houston Fire Academy where I’m hoping to graduate and become a full time firefighter. Also I’m new to the acting game but I’ve been introduced to an acting group called Rising Artists of Houston where they help some of us get a boosts into the film world without breaking our pockets like others would.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well if any friend knows me they know I love to workout so I’d start my Saturday morning by taking them to MuscleHeads Gym on Emancipation Avenue once we’re done there is take them to Taste Bar+Kitchen for brunch. I’d show them my old neighborhood Hillwood right around the corner from Cloverland where I grew up, show them my middle school Woodson and take them to Hiram Clarke to my old high school Madison. After which since I like vegan food we’d go to Korny Vibez in Montroes for lunch. To end the Saturday we’d go to Pitch 25 Beer Park and walk to the truck yard for good food trucks. And they know I’m a church guy so we’d go to my family’s church Orang Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday morning right on Aledo St. in Sunnyside.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course my loving fiancé Doctor Megan Francisco deserves almost more praise for this than we do together. She took on this task of starting a podcast alongside the fact of her finishing physical therapy school and never complained one time. She is extremely dedicated to our brand and won’t be satisfied until we make it to the places she feels we deserve. Whether it’s making a day for us to go take pictures with no ones else’s help, making the logo after doing her work, or coming up with great topics to bring on our show…all and all she’s the heart and soul of Get It Twogether and there’s no question about it.
