We had the good fortune of connecting with Habibi Tingz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Habibi, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Every step forward no matter how big or small is progress. On days I’ve felt like giving up, I’ve realized how far I’ve come. If I can positively enhance peoples lives in any such way, or even one, that is more than enough for me to keep going. “You cant get so hung up on where you’d rather be, that you forget to make the most of where you are.”
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I created my YouTube channel as a platform to share energetic and fun content from a kid based in Houston. I am half Syrian and half Pakistani and wanted to be one of the few Houston creators with a different background sharing all kinds of content while using it as a share space for my friends and family to be involved in as well. I love giving back and created a fun way for people to engage with my content by being entered into things such as giveaways. For years I procrastinated creating a channel until I finally woke up and ordered every single piece of equipment I needed to shoot videos and share them with the public whether it was YouTube, TikTok, etc. Till this day, I still have doubts recording certain videos or putting myself out there, but over time it has gotten easier. I’ve learned to take it one step at a time, with consistency surely things will work in your favor
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Would definitely have a night full of activities, can be anything from the usual River Oaks and Galleria area to have some dinner, sushi being the go to, hit up Washington Ave or Midtown for a little night life fun and end it off with a hookah bar or taco truck to have some food, share some laughs, and chill. Or even a casual night hitting the arcade, riding scooters in Downtown, grabbing some boba or coffee from some of my favorite spots either around the Heights, Rice Village, or Bellaire.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother has been my back bone for as long as I’ve been alive. Her support, love, care, and interest in anything I pursue or chose to do with my life will never go unnoticed. For that I am forever grateful and owe her the world.
