We had the good fortune of connecting with Hope Watkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hope, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was an accident. At an early age I got a job at the school decided i was going to be the best 9-5er ever, but then big business showed me how ruthless they were and my mind set shifted for ever. It took me some time to find my footing in this business world I went through a few different businesses and rebrands, but I wouldn’t’ve change my journey for anything.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Your Brand In Print is a print liaison company, specializing in creating amazing print, event coordination, branding & marketing experience for our clients. Ybinprint.com is more than a Print company, we have had the pleasure for working with and printing for Derrick McKinney of Loud Muzik, Chris Bivins from BET, The Source Magazine, LIL Flip, Marcus Bowers from She’s Happy Hair, Kimberly Hatter from Purposeful Brands, and Travis Scott Foundation Cactus Jack. It was so many lessons along the way, but the most important thing for me was excepting my position, and understanding my power and what I have to offer. So many times business owners forget that yes we need customers but we supply the products & resources. Sometimes we forget how to leverage that and get better, and respect the fact that we have gotten better. For those us who learn how to leverage it into bigger opportunities sometimes forget how to put some respect on our own names because we so caught us in what’s next for our brand or business. That was me until recently after aligning myself around like minded people who was not scared to show me I was valuable, and needed, and I provided services that most people don’t know how or can not do. Your Brand In Print started off as a micro business that just printed t-shirts, to a multi level print, marketing & branding company specializing in event coordination. ybinprint.com is more than just a print company its a life style and soon the world will see us as it the IT thing to do, The place you you get respect because you used our services. The talk around town.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Me, Hope as a regular person lol, my friends know better to depend on me to plan outings, because we either keeping it real simple, with supporting different small BIPOC businesses or taking it to the extreme and leaving on a cruise or something lol. I don’t have any one spot I suggest because with my friends I like to explore new things, I am a very boring goal orientated person. I use to hang out with my friends and have my laptop within arms reach to be able to do work at a drop of a dime. For some reason I have always been known to pull off last minute jobs, so it was outta control at one point, my friends began to complain lol. I’m much better today. The laptop stays at the office now.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this to my Mom most importantly, but also my customers, my team, my mentors without you all I would not be in this position.
