We had the good fortune of connecting with Iam LACED and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Iam, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
When I was younger I always wanted to make music and be one of the best to do so. Music puts me in a good place in my mind when I listen to it and I want my music to put everybody else in a good head space when they listen to it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Everybody can rap. When I make my music I like to mix my music with R&B and HipHop. Nice melodic vibes to my songs. I also grew up listening to a bunch of R&B music more than HipHop so I guess I can say that It grew on me allot. Finding a way to engage with people is one of the hardest parts of wanting to be a artist and making good music for people to love me. It’s a constant grind and as long as you put the time and effort in and do what’ you think is right for you and also having fun with it you will get far and gain attraction from more people and a fan base!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely would go to the Mall. Walk around, chat for a little while and buy some stuff and then just chill. Me and my friends like to do most of the same stuff which is really just sitting back and relaxing. Probably order some food, hang out at the crib, play the game and just chill.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father was and still one of my biggest inspirations. He was a artist and he also knows the engineering side of the business. He put the mic down for me. So I definitely want to give a shoutout to my father because he also done taught me a lot especially when it come to the music business.
