Meet Ian River | Artist & Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ian River and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ian, why did you pursue a creative career?
It is all I’ve ever known, i grew up listening to everything. Whether it was Michael Jackson, Queen etc. Music was there for me when no one was. In a household where i was the only child, music was my religion. I’ve always known i would end up with a creative/artistic career.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other artist is i can make a song in any genre, i can play most instruments, ninety percent 0f the time everything you hear on my music is all me. i’m excited for the future, its humbling seeing progress, because it reminds you of where you were last year. Challenges will always make things difficult but that is the point. Its a journey, an important lesson i’ve learned is that not everyone is your friends,and some people don’t want to see you win, keep to yourself, focus on your craft. what i want the world i know about me is simple, my name is ian river, i make music, im 19 years old and live in houston texas.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were coming to houston, we would have to visit Airline Dr, Mein in Bellaire, Yo-Yos in rice village, and the galleria of course
