We had the good fortune of connecting with Ida Agbim and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ida, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own buisness was very easy to me because I knew I was already blessed and gifted in fashion things and also it was so easy because it was a God given talent and I wanted to share it with the world while making money.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have an associate degree in respiratory therapy and also a vocational Nursing certification.what sets me apart from others is the fact that I am not just a designer of kids dresses but I am also educated with degrees.
I am so excited and proud that I did not let go my dreams of becoming a fashion designer even after achieving all degrees I still went back to become a fashion designer.
I walked my way up from basement liters. I went from been a respiratory Therapy to a vocational nurse and then I jumped over the wall from all those degrees to becoming a fashion designer.
It was not easy.I had to convince everyone that those degrees is not what I really want to do.The only way I could over come them was to prove to all those who thought I couldn’t make that I am not a failure.I decided to leave all the negative thoughts from people in the past and bring forward only the things that will help me succeed.
I have learned never to listen to negative people in my life .I learned to walk my own path with just my kids,my husband and mom.You are your own special person and you should follow your own path and reach your own dreams.Never let others dictate your dreams or talents.

I will love to take them to Gringo’s .I love Mexican food.Their food is so tasty always freshly made and their margaritas taste better than other restaurants i have visited.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
