Hi Imani, how do you think about risk?
Personally, risk are essential. Every risk i’ve took in my career and life has always led me to a brighter place. Those risk put you in a place to either grow or deteriorate and every single time i have grown.

Trust your gut feeling and don’t feel bad for choosing yourself. Many may not understand your risk but as long at they’re good and your comfortable with the risk you took, then don’t worry about anything else.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
KLEAN by Kaylan is an all natural skin/body care line. My brand cares about your skin and wants to do anything and everything to help you achieve Klean, Clear Skin. We have products ranging from Kleansers , moisturizers, body butters and of course a new line that will be coming out for babies. All products are made from natural and organic ingredients and infused with natural ingredients provided from our lovely earth. Klean wants to give back to your skin in the best way we know, natural products.

Starting a business is not the easiest , especially when you’re the CEO, manager, artist, media rep/editor, etc. I can say still til this day it’s a handful but something I learned is that when you plan out ahead and finish as much as you can like the logos, website, and products names when it comes to releasing and packaging it goes so much smoother! Growing my brand was tough because you can’t make others support you or repost you, all you can do is use the tools given to you, which are hashtags and posting. I’m very creative when it comes to attracting clientele to my page because i know what catches my eye and what i like to see and know before buying. When running your business always be Authentic, don’t try and use someone else techniques to reach an audience because it won’t always work. Go with your first thought !! Most people, as myself, always seem to second guess the things we do or when we should do them. Stop waiting til tomorrow and do it TODAY !

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some fun places in Houston are based mainly downtown. There’s so many things you can do from lounges, museums, parks, art walls & more !! If you’re looking for a quick bite , Texas is known for Whataburger but if you were looking for a place to sit, eat, chill and listen to music, The ‘Turkey Leg Hut’ has great food and really good drinks! Want to go out later for drinks ? No worries !! HERLounge is a perfect lounge for a girls day ! Their lounge is so pretty with so many areas to take cute pics. If it’s a sunny day outside you can’t go wrong with a picnic , Houston has plenty of parks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a big shoutout to God. I’ve had many many challenging days, that i got through with prayers and prayers only. He has guided me through this whole process and i can’t help but to shout him out in the loud voice and thank him. Next to him I’d like to thank my grandma and my boyfriends grandma. They have motivated me in a numerable amount of ways, whether it’s listening to a business plan, supporting me, reposting, liking, they’re always on top of it !
