We had the good fortune of connecting with Ingrid Alarcon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ingrid, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
For me, engaging in creative activities was really the only way to feel content, authentic, and like I could contribute. My personal core and my work are very similar. My three careers—designing, acting, and modeling—allow me to thrive in creative settings while keeping things interesting because I have a bit of a restless spirit. My natural habitat is constantly changing, and this constant variation feeds my soul.

What should our readers know about your business?
Nothing comes easy at all, I’m proud and excited that I was able to start Milan Cosmetics to make woman feel beautiful because like I say confidence is in the beauty. My business is everything to me it’s like my baby. I’ve learned that when you want something you have to work for it no matter how tough it is.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Lucille’s for brunch, steak 48 for dinner or Eddie V’s Moxies for drinks. I love 5015 The spot in third ward prospect park just to name a few. As you might expect, there are areas of Houston with genuinely outstanding nightlife—you just have to know where to look—in a city as big, lively, and diverse as this one. In addition to a thriving upscale cocktail scene, H-Town is home to a number of well-known live music venues, sunny beer gardens, and casual dives with plenty of outdoor space. The experience is equally enjoyable for those who would like a posh, velvet rope-lined nightclub. wanted to use this occasion to express my appreciation for all that my wonderful parents have done for me. You all seemed to get along quite great, even though I know that I wasn’t the easiest child to raise and that I have my idiosyncrasies. I just wanted to express my gratitude.
