Meet Isaac Morales

We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The people around me. My family has always supported me, and my peers and coaches are always giving me support and advice on how to be the best version of myself that I can be, inside and outside of the ring. I am also a very driven person, wherein there is never a true end goal, only looking forwards to what’s next. In wrestling, you can’t be content with where you’re at, otherwise, you’re going to get passed by.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For me, it’s been a long road. I’ve been in this business for a while, about 9 years, but most of that time I was a referee. I have been wrestling full time for a couple of years now. Because of that, I feel like I’m behind my peers and need to catch up. To succeed in this field, you need to be ambitious and to never settle. I can’t call myself Mr.Musclemania if I don’t look the part. Everything needs to be on point, diet, workouts, training, rest, recovery, etc. There are people in this industry who don’t understand that, I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston Premier Arena always has wrestling going on every other Thursday and on the weekends. The museums downtown are great as well. Other than that, try as much food as you can!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friends have always supported me through my career, and the crew at New Texas Wrestling (Coaches, wrestlers, and everyone behind the scenes that you don’t see) deserves some respect. Kiefer Bartek and JJ Blake have not only helped me better myself, but as well as a whole roster of wrestlers that appear across the Texas Contenders Series and New Texas Pro events. In fact, the entire Texas wrestling scene right now deserves all the attention, credit, and recognition that you can give it. Everyone that works within it has stepped up their game and it is providing amazing shows left and right!
